INTRODUCTION

Welcome to this exclusive beach guide which is very likely to be the most complete one available in the internet as of April 2008. Most guides only list the most commonly known 20-40 beaches on the island. I have taken the trouble to travel more than 2000 miles over the island to offer you this guide which includes more than 200 beaches. Whether you consider all locations as beaches is up to you, but not everyone is necessarily looking for vast sand beaches, so you will find beaches I actually had trouble to find their real names.

Please note, that the locations have been placed, based on the "satellite view" of Google Maps. If you are in the "map view" their location might be slightly different. Due to the huge number of beaches, some beach icons on the initial map might be very close to each other. Therefore, I recommend that you zoom in before you make your choice.

For almost every beach there is detailed information available for you and for the vast majority you can take a look at photos or even ultra high resolution panoramas.
